This is still by far one of my favorite Start Trek movies, it dates technowise a bit, but otherwise it rocks hard. Story wise this is a case where a previously used TV story can be reused as a movie plot. That and a good one at that. Khan was "Disposed of" on a planet that supported life, 15 years ago. (30 or so in real life years) However the planet next to it in orbit around it's sun exploded and changed the orbit of the planet that they were on. Hatred leads to anger. Khans wife, was killed by a native creature of Saturn 5 or City Alpha 6 or whatever it was called, this pisses Khan off more than being left there in the first place. Needless to say the plot leads Kirk and Khan (2 K's....must like the 7 R's of education) I'm Edumacated, I pissed the 3rd grate. Kirk and Khan get into a screaming match that to 14 year old girls couldn't match because Testosterone is all man baby. |
